§ 10-8. Law enforcement advisory board.

  • (a)

    The city commission hereby creates the law enforcement advisory board for the purpose of reviewing applications for funding under the Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program and other law enforcement programs from time to time. The board will be authorized to make nonbinding recommendations to the city for the use of funds received under all programs.

    (b)

    Membership shall include a representative from the local police department or sheriff's department, the local prosecutor's office, the local court system, the local public school system and a local nonprofit, educational, religious or community group active in crime prevention or drug use prevention or treatment.

    (c)

    Members shall be appointed by the city commission by resolution.
