§ 14-3. Permit required.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to erect docks or any other structure on or in waterways without first obtaining a permit from the building official, plan approval from the Department of Planning and Environmental Protection and, if abutting navigable waters, written approval from the appropriate governmental agencies.

    The application for permit shall show all improvements and manner in which improvements are to be performed, the mean water line, mean elevation of the adjacent ground, and width of the adjacent waterway, and shall conform with the Florida Building Code. Approvals from other governmental agencies shall be presented at the time of request for a permit, along with a current survey of the property.
