§ 5-5. Certificate of occupancy.

  • (a)

    Certificate of occupancy . No building erected, altered or enlarged, nor existing building involving a change of occupancy shall be used or occupied in whole or in part until a certificate of occupancy has been issued by the community development department and signed by all appropriate city personnel certifying that the building and occupancy are in accordance with the provisions of all applicable City Codes and the Florida Building Code.

    (b)

    Issuance of certificate of occupancy . Issuance of certificates of occupancy including partial and temporary certificates of occupancy shall be in accordance with the provisions prescribed in the Florida Building Code.
