§ 8-35. Use, possession, etc., of LSD.

  • (a)

    No person shall, for the purpose of causing a condition of hallucination, consume, inject by the use of a hypodermic needle or device, or ingest dextro-lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) in any form; provided, however, that nothing in this section shall be interpreted as applying to the use thereof in connection with the treatment by licensed medical doctors or hospitals of patients suffering from physical or mental disorders where its use is a part of or connected with the prescribed treatment of such disorders, or such use is connected with legitimate medical research.

    (b)

    No person shall, for the purpose of violating subsection (a), use or possess for the purpose of so using, dextro-lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), nor use or possess the same except under the direction and prescription of a licensed physician.

    (c)

    No person shall sell, offer to sell, or give to any other person, or obtain for any other person, dextro-lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) in any form, if he has reasonable cause to suspect that such substance sold, offered for sale, or obtained, will be used for the purpose set forth in subsection (a).
