    SPECIAL ACTS, CHAPTER 71-786:

    (1)

    Chapter 1358, Laws of Florida 1969, as amended, is hereby amended so as to extend, enlarge and contract the corporate limits of the City of Oakland Park, in Broward County and in the State of Florida, so as to include and so that said city so extended and enlarged shall embrace and have jurisdiction over, the lands and territory situate in the County of Broward, State of Florida, within the following described boundaries:

    Begin at the Southwest corner of Section 24, Township 49 South, Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida; thence East along the South boundary line of said Section 24 to the westerly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway Number One (Federal Highway) as same is now located, constructed and used; thence northerly meander the West right-of-way line of said U.S. Highway One (Federal Highway) to the North right-of-way line of N.E. 45th Street (Floranada Road) as same is now located, constructed and used; thence westerly meander the North right-of-way line of said N.E. 45th Street (Floranada Road) to the East boundary line of Section 14, Township 49 South, Range 42 East; thence northerly along the said East boundary line of said Section 14, Township 49 South, Range 42 East to the North right-of-way line of N.E. 48th Court, as same is now located, constructed and used; thence westerly meander the said North right-of-way line of N.E. 48th Court to the center line of N.E. 17th Avenue as same is now located, constructed and used; thence northerly along the center line and the projection northerly of the center line of said N.E. 17th Avenue to the center line of N.E. 50th Street (Commercial Boulevard) as same is now located, constructed and used;     The said city shall have all of the jurisdiction, powers, authority, franchise and privileges over and within the territory described above and over the residents thereof and over the property located therein as if such land had been part of and within the corporate limits of the city as of the time of the adoption or enactment of such jurisdiction, powers, authority, franchises and privileges.
