§ 22-4. Work to be done by consumers; separate connections for each premises.

  • (a)

    All plumbing from the water meter or street line inward shall be done by the owner of the property or person making application for water service. Water consumers shall keep all pipes, fittings and fixtures in the premises in good order and repair.

    (b)

    Water shall not be furnished to one (1) premises for use on another premises. Each lot or tract of land or fraction thereof shall have a separate connection with the water service line from the street main, excepting only the following cases:

    (1)

    A single building occupying two (2) or more lots or portions of lots may be connected with the main with a single service line.

    (2)

    Barns, garages or other outbuildings situated on the same premises, and used in connection with a residence or other building, may be connected with the same service line supplying such residence or building.
